No data collection

We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) from users. oo is a local-first, decentralized messenger — all your data stays on your devices and is synced peer-to-peer via the Veilid distributed hash table (DHT).

Encryption

All data is end-to-end encrypted using AEAD encryption. Passwords are hashed using Argon2. We have no ability to decrypt or access your data.

Volunteer network

The platform operates through a network of volunteers. We cannot endorse or control all user contributions or content on the network.

No tracking

oo does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, or cookies — in the app or on this website.

This website

This website (oo-app.pages.dev) is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Contact invite links use URL fragments (#), which are never sent to the server.
